When a Video Visit Is Enough

When a Video Visit Is Enough

Telemedicine works brilliantly for some visits and badly for others. Knowing the difference saves you a trip - or a delay.

Great over video

Medication refills and dose adjustments, reviewing lab or imaging results, rashes and skin questions with a good camera, follow-ups for stable chronic conditions, and “should I come in?” triage.

Needs an in-person visit

Anything requiring hands-on examination: abdominal pain, injuries, chest pain, breathing difficulty, and all emergencies.

How it works at MedFlo

Book a telemedicine slot in the app, join from the appointment card, and prescriptions land in your file just like a clinic visit.

What to prepare before you connect

Good light, your medication boxes within reach, a written list of symptoms with dates, and - if you have them - home readings (temperature, blood pressure, sugar). Five minutes of preparation doubles what a video visit can safely decide.

The handover rule

If your video doctor says "this needs an exam", the referral carries your whole conversation with it - you never start over at the clinic. That handover is the point of doing telemedicine inside your own clinic rather than a random app.
