How to Read Your Lab Results

How to Read Your Lab Results

Majed Aldossari|22‏/07‏/2026

Your MedFlo results arrive with reference ranges - here is how to think about them.

“Out of range” is not a diagnosis

Ranges cover 95% of healthy people, so a healthy person with twenty results will often have one slightly outside. Trends over time matter more than a single number.

The common panels

  • CBC screens for anemia and infection.
  • Lipid profile estimates cardiovascular risk.
  • HbA1c reflects three months of blood sugar.
  • Vitamin D - low in most of the region; supplementation is common.

Fasting or not?

HbA1c and TSH need no fasting. Lipid profiles are best after 10-12 hours of fasting - water is allowed and encouraged.

Every released result in the app links to the original report, and your doctor annotates anything that needs action.
